Welcome to our Website!
Our mission is to provide support for families in the TriState area who are struggling financially due to their child’s life-threatening illness or lengthy hospitalization. We aim to help families manage life, while they wait on their miracle.
Miracle for Mateo is a 501(c)(3) public charity nonprofit organization established in 2010 to support the Paredes Family and their son Mateo Sebastian Paredes.
Baby Mateo was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and the added complication of Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return.
Baby Mateo came home on hospice care after spending the first four months of his life at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Baby Mateo lived for nine months, and now his memory lives on as other families are supported and offered financial help through Miracle for Mateo.
After Mateo passed away in July 2010, the Paredes Family decided to use funds raised for Baby Mateo to begin supporting families enduring a similar journey in the hospital with a critically ill baby or child. Miracle for Mateo does all things in memory of Baby Mateo and Megan Daddario.

About Us
